Carnage and Culture: Landmark Battles in the Rise to Western Power

Here we go again.

Well, I write this a little under a month after getting back from Colorado. For someone with no job and no class, things have been strangely busy for me.

First off, a good deal of my time is spent looking for a job. So far though, I only have a couple good leads. I've interviewed with Radioshack, and I just put in an application with a local bank that is supposed to have an opening. If nothing turns up soon, I'll start working for my friend at a sandwich shop.

The lack of employment has turned up a few opportunities, however. I tested out of English Lit. with the knowledge gained from S2 (much thanks to Dr. Bauman and Dr. Williams). Much of the test seemed as if it was lifted out of class.

Something of greater effect is my ability to take a trip to Minnesota, starting tomorrow. A few friends (G'ma Wilson, Lindy, and Bria) and myself are going up to the rez to visit with some friends and to bring up some furnature and care packages (Most notibly socks. Dear Lord, we have socks coming out the wazoo!).

The 14+ hour drive is giving me some time to do a few things that I hope to enjoy:

- sleep
- actually read the Reagan book
- write letters
- sleep
- read the rest of culture and carnage

I tend to have a bad habit of falling out of touch with people that I don't see. Hopefully I can correct this slightly. ><;;

That seems to be the general rundown of what's going on in my life. Maybe I'll post sometime in the next few months.

Great Sand Dunes

Pictured here are Dave, Ian, and myself. We're standing on top of the sand dunes at Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado. We took a daytrip there the other weekend.

It was hot. It was hard. It was a lot of fun. It took a long time to climb the dunes (read: over an hour)

S2

Well, for the three or four people who know about this little blog, I'm pretty sure all of them know where I am right now. If by chance you don't, I'm in Colorado right now studying in Pagosa Springs at a program called Summit Semester.
